Uninstall or disable Norton AntiSpam & see if the behavior persists. OE has
*never* liked anti-spam applications.

I don't even remember what they were trying to sell me but i know it had
alot of ARSS and INTL STRONG through it and it was nothing but spam and
they
were really ticking me off.

I hope this helps you so that you can really help me. :-(

No
If there was, you would have to have Outlook Express running while you are
on vacation.
Check your ISP to see if you have web access to your email account.

Since you're new:

No need to post to the 5.5 newsgroup if you are not using 5.5.

And it is a good habit to include all previous messages in your reply.

To elaborate on what Ron said, it can be done, but it is a bad idea.

If you do this, you will have to leave your computer on 24/7, be connected
to the Internet, and have OE open. If you want do this anyway, the link
below will explain how to do it. One thing I would suggest is that where it
says to create a rule and check For All Messages, you change it and make the
rule for people in your address book only. Otherwise you will be replying to
Spam as well.

Your ISP may offer this service which would be a better choice.

Bruce, thanks for remembering to mention the spam issues. Too many people
end up disgusted when they come back from long vacations and find their
accounts shut down due to spam reports against them.
I once suggested notifying folks in your address book that you're leaving
town for xx days too, but they still got reported for spamming, though it
was simply an admonition in that case. Seems a lot of people in her address
book really had no idea who she was g. And then other people do that, and
never get a spam report against them; it all depends on who gets them and
what they do about them.
Most ISPs start out with warnings and then escalate the warnings if the
"spam" continues.
Spammers have ruined it for a lot of people.

Regards,
Pop`
