Hi,
The new Internet Explorer 7 was down loaded and installed in my computer some time ago. Fine. The Outlook Express, however, is still OE 6. Is there an OE 7 ? Thanks for any info. Doc |

There is no Outlook Express 7. But, I've seen some references on the net to
OE being replaced by a news application, maybe called Windows Live Mail or some such thing. It's unclear to me whether this will be a standalone application that resides on your computer, or some kind of webmail thing like Hotmail. Maybe someone else can provide more details. OE6 is the last version. While it will be supported as long as XP is, no
improvements will be made. A new optional e-mail client is in the works, apparently. From: http://www.microsoft.com/presspass/p...lLaunchPR.mspx More to come. In the coming weeks, Microsoft will introduce an additional e-mail client option for Windows Live Hotmail with the release of Windows Live Mail beta, a free consumer e-mail client available via download that will be a successor to Outlook Express and Windows Mail on Windows Vista. -- Bruce Hagen MS-MVP Outlook Express ~IB-CA~ "doc" wrote in message ...
