I have been experiencing the same issue - only as of about Mon 6/4. Yahoo
Mail Plus support hasn't been to help. I'd haven't made any configuration changes before or subsequent to Monday, nor experienced the problem using non POP3 web mail accounts. Any insight would be much appreciated. I'm runing: MS Vista, Outlook 2007, Yahoo Mail Plus, Norton Internet Security 2007 Thanks, DLAD01 "Sportsluvr" wrote: I've noticed that any emails sent by my MSN POP3 account to any Yahoo email address ([e.g. ], including those who are POP3 account at yahoo) takes a long time to arrive ranging from 30 minutes to several hours, sometimes a day or two later. This is also true for any emails sent by other MSN pop3 accounts (other than my msn account) to any yahoo email accounts, who similarly take a long to arrrive at the ' email address recipient. There seems to be issues between emails sent and received between MSN and Yahoo email addresses. I've had the new pop3 settings since the end of January (i.e. I'm using pop3.live.com and smtp.live.com in Outlook Express 6), as per 'PA Bear' has kindly outlined instructions in previous postings. 1) Has anyone has similar delay issues with sending email from MSN POP3 accounts to Yahoo accounts (big delays) or conversely receining emails from yahoo to msn (also big delays)? 2) Has it been reported? 3) Are these delay problems b/c of capacity contraints that might now exist on the live.com servers that may not have existed on the pop3/smtp.email.msn.com servers? Thanks very much for your assistance! P.S. Using XP Pro SP2, IE6 SP2, OE6 |

This is what I wrote for the original poster:
"Taking a look at the Received headers in some delayed mails might give a clue as to where the delay is. In a received message look at the Message Source (Ctrl-F3). Each server that the message passes through inserts a header with a time stamp. The top most header is the most recent. If you find a gap between two Yahoo or between two MSN servers, then you know where the problem lies. But if it's between MSN and Yahoo, you can't tell if the problem is on the receiver's end or sender's end." But there's nothing you can do on your end to fix the problem other than complain to the mail services. -- Mike - http://pages.prodigy.net/michael_santovec/techhelp.htm "DLAD01" wrote in message ... Since Monday 6/4 I've experienced the same issue. Delays as long as 10 hrs.
Yahoo Mail Plus support has only been able to confirm I've got the correct configuration for my POP3 mail in MS Outlook. They haven't been willing/able to provide an answer whether they're experiencing server performance / volume issues. Bottom line is I can't afford more time troubleshooting - especially if it's just an issue of Yahoo's capacity Any help / guidance appreciated Thx DLAD01 "Sportsluvr" wrote: I've noticed that any emails sent by my MSN POP3 account to any Yahoo email address ([e.g. ], including those who are POP3 account at yahoo) takes a long time to arrive ranging from 30 minutes to several hours, sometimes a day or two later.
