Default upload time

Would this bne a normal upload time for this .............

email with a publisher attachment of 9MB, when I press send it takes around
4 minutes to upload and send.
I am using broadband with blueyonder.

Default upload time

It just took me 6 minutes to send an 11MB attachment, and I have great
service, so I would say that is normal. Also, when you attach something it
gets about a third larger due to the encoding, so that 9MB is now about
12MB.

9MB, thats 12 or 13 MB attached to an email,
~13MB in 240 seconds = 54KB/s = 432 Kilobits/S
432 kilobits isnt bad

And with most types of connections (dial-up, DSL, cable), the upload
speed is much slower than the download. And of course, the ISPs always
advertise the download speed, never the upload.
