OE6 under Win XP / IE6:
I would like OE to stop spontaneously asking if I would like it to compact messages. I do that at appropriate times and don't want OE to nag me. Can someone tell me how to stop the nagging? Bobbi |

If you do it manually before 100 closings of OE, it will set the counter
back to zero and you won't see the prompt for another 100 closings. -- Bruce Hagen MS-MVP Outlook Express Imperial Beach, CA "Bobbi" wrote in message ... So there's no way to turn it off permanently?

Compact all folders on a regular basis manually and you'll never see
Automatic Compacting. -- ~Robear Dyer (PA Bear) MS MVP-Windows (IE, OE, Security, Shell/User) AumHa VSOP & Admin; DTS-L.org Bobbi wrote: OE6 under Win XP / IE6: I would like OE to stop spontaneously asking if I would like it to compact messages.
