Recently someone has been sending me emails that have invalid addresses and
my Outlook Express cannot download them. Online I am able to delete them but immediately I seem to receive another as I need to be able to download, please help. Onetel is my provider. Thanks. |

Are these spam messages? Can you receive regular mail? Send a test to
yourself and see what happens. Irregardless, do the following for starters. Tools | Accounts | Mail | Properties | Advanced - Uncheck: Leave a copy of messages on the server. Turn off e-mail scanning in your anti-virus program. It is a redundant layer of protection that eats up CPUs, slows down sending and receiving, and causes a multitude of problems such as time-outs, account setting changes and has even been responsible for lose of messages. Your up-to-date A/V program will continue to protect you sufficiently. These emails are not spam messages and I can receive all other emails but not
if there is one on my servicer with an invalid address which is the first to be downloaded, the rest get stuck behind it. When I delete the one with the Invalid Address online the rest will download. Thanks |

So the one with the invalid address is not one that you will want ever? Is
the address always the same? You may be able to use message rules. If you give me an example of the address I will send you in the right direction, or you can try to do it yourself. I have never known of OE being unable to download a message because of an invalid address. Are you using an anti-spam program or an anti-virus set to scan email? Try turning them off.
