Because I have a lot of domains/email addresses I have to disperse them over
several identities. When I try to switch between IDs it often takes several attempts to get the instruction to work - very often the system reverts to default ID. Any ideas as to what may be the problem ? -- Thanks jd |

It has been an issue for years, but it usually only happens on the first
attempt. There is no fix, but this tool lets you switch IDs a little quicker, as well as doing other things. Your headers (Microsoft Outlook Express 6.00.2900.2180) tell us that you're
running outdated and much less-secure versions of OE, IE and WinXP SP2. Check in at Windows Update ASAP and install all critical updates. See if the behavior persists after installing the updates and rebooting. Also make sure Automatic Updates is enabled. If you are running Norton Anti-virus set to scan e-mail, it is known to
intermittently cause problems trying to switch identities.
