Hi
Whereas most of the folders in Outlook Express have a column headed "From", the Sent Items folder has a column headed "To". As I like to keep all my emails, I have created subfolders (within Sent Items) for previous years: 2006, 2005, etc. However, they all have the standard "From" header, displaying the somewhat redundant information that each email was sent by me. I already know that. Is there anyway to make my Sent Items subfolders follow the Sent Items schema, rather than the default? Thank you. |

Go to the folder, right-click anywhere on the columns, click Columns.. and check/uncheck as desired. -- Singapore Website Design http://www.bootstrike.com/Webdesign/ Singapore Web Hosting http://www.bootstrike.com/WinXP/faq.html Windows XP FAQ "Confused" wrote in message ... Columns.. and check/uncheck as desired. I tried that but it seems to be a global setting which affect *all* the folders and subfolders (apart from Drafts, Outbox and Sent Items, which appear to have their own alternative setup - "To" instead of "From"). Nevertheless, this could still be useful as a temporary setting for those occasions when I'm looking for all emails sent to a certain person, so thanks for the info. |

There are only two options for OE column headers.
Inbox - Deleted Items - and User Created folders share the same layout. If you change one, you change them all. Likewise for Outbox - Sent Items - and Drafts. Change one and you change the other two. -- Bruce Hagen MS-MVP Outlook Express Imperial Beach, CA "Confused" wrote in message ... There are only two sets of mail folder headings (View, Columns):
- Sent Items, Outbox and Drafts use one set - Inbox, Deleted Items, and all user created folders use the other set Even though a user created folder is arranged as a subfolder to Sent Items, it is still going to use the same column headings as the Inbox. What you can do is add both the TO and FROM columns to the Inbox so that the TO column will be available in the other folders. I also find the TO column useful in the Inbox since I can easily spot mail sent specifically to me rather than a group. The OEX program lets you individually customize the folder columns on a per folder basis: www.oehelp.com/OEX/ -- Mike - http://pages.prodigy.net/michael_santovec/techhelp.htm "Confused" wrote in message ...
