Default Huge amounts of spam today

Usually I get a level of spam that is irritating but only a few dozen per
day. In the last 3 hours I have 650 separate spam emails (most Mailer Daemon
headers) and which is no joke. Is there something going on out there or is
it just me that is being targeted I wonder.

It is your turn. It was my turn in June,2003. Spammers rotate through
known
good email addresses to forge as the sender. Annoying as hell to the
victim
of the forgery; but the most that you can do is create "Mailer-DAEMON"
specific rules until the spammer moves on to somebody else' email address.

A total of 880 came through in five hours! They were to my company domain
name but having looked into it with my web site guy the setting, with the
hosting company, seemed to have been altered. From only allowing through
specific addresses to 'catch all' with the domain name. Once the setting was
reset and after about 20 minutes back to the normal odd spam. Thank goodness
as it was causing me serious stress as it is so easy to delete genuine
emails.
