Default Retaining replied to and other symbols when moving OE messages to Vista

Hello,

Moving all my messages to a new computer with Windows email, I tested
a small set. The messages get moved fine, but I lose all the "messages
being watched" and flag icons and the "replied" to or "forwarded" to
symbols, just the plain envelope open is showing, without the arrow
symbols.. This also used to happen sometimes when I move messages from
my laptop to my desktop after travelling.

I need all this info to keep organized, to know who I've replied to
etc, How do I move my messages without losing all this other info?

Please reply to or cc it, as I'm not sure I can
access this again properly.

Many thanks in advance for your expertise,

Stu

How do did you move the messages? If you moved the individual EML
files, you will definitely lose that information since it's not stored
in the EML files.

If you did an import of the DBX files and still lost the information,
that was the best you can do.

Backing up Windows Mail and importing from Outlook Express to Windows
Mail

Windows Vista Mail Newsgroup:

You can also get to the newsgroup via this web site:
http://www.microsoft.com/communities...s/default.mspx
There select Windows Vista, then Windows Mail.
