Befor upgrading computers, I could select "forward" and click on the "to" tab
and then select one of the groups that I set up in the address book. All the contacts in that groups would appear and then I could select the ones to be added. Now, the groups are in the address book, but when I go through the above procedure, alll I get is an alphabetized list on all contacts and groups---------There is no way to open a group and select certain contacts. Any ideas? |

That is how OE works. All you will see is the group name. I don't know what
version of OE you were using on your old machine, or if, and when, this change occurred. One of the *older* OE users will have to answer that part of your question. -- Bruce Hagen MS-MVP Outlook Express Imperial Beach, CA "Gary Hyatt" Gary wrote in message ... What you describe can be done with a Folder, but not a Group.
But there is a workaround. There's a trick to sending to some, but not all, of the members of a group in Outlook Express. - Start the mail as usual and enter the group in the TO (or CC or BCC) field. NOTE: If you are using Automatically Complete e-mail addresses when composing (Tools, Options, Send) and you typed in the group name (rather than selecting from the address book), be sure to use Tools, Check Names (Ctrl-K) so that the group name becomes underlined. - But instead of sending the message, click the X in the upper right hand corner of the message window and click YES when asked if you want to save the message. - Then go to your DRAFTS folder. You'll find the message there. Double click it to open in a message composition window. - You'll find that the group name has been replaced by the list of e-mail addresses. You can highlight and delete the unwanted ones. Also delete the extra semicolon that is left over for separating that name for the adjacent one. NOTE: IF you still see the Group name rather than the individual e-mail addresses, that means you used the Auto-complete without Ctrl-K. In that case, save the message again and this time the group name should get replaced. - You can now send the message as normal. -- Mike - http://pages.prodigy.net/michael_santovec/techhelp.htm "Gary Hyatt" Gary wrote in message ... I think you're confusing Address Book Folders with Groups, Gary.
