Okay this is really weird to me but any information from anyone on this would
be great...my mother upgraded rogers ultra light to regular light and by the time she got home there were thousands of emails in her inbox that keep on multiplying. Because of this we can not even open outlook on our computer because there are just too many messages to load. My mom's got alot of stuff sitting in different folders in that account, so does anyone know how to fix this problem or to retrieve those important emails?? Thanks in advance!! |

Disconnect from the Internet, so new messages will not download.
Backup the important messages. Create message rules, then connect to download messages. -- Ronald Sommer "Peter Foldes" wrote in message ... MS Outlook or MS Outlook Express?
By default, either application will download only messages in her webmail inbox. I'd recommend accessing the account via webmail (e.g., http://www.rogers.com/mymail/ or perhaps http://www.rogers.com/easyemail/) and deleting the bulk of the unwanted (spam) messages from the inbox there before attempting to download them into OL or OE. -- ~Robear Dyer (PA Bear) MS MVP-Windows (IE, OE, Security, Shell/User) AumHa VSOP & Admin; DTS-L.org Froq wrote: Okay this is really weird to me but any information from anyone on this would be great...my mother upgraded rogers ultra light to regular light and by the time she got home there were thousands of emails in her inbox that keep on multiplying. That's very strange. Last night, 21 July, my OE has done exactly what your's
does!!! I have been using it successfully ever since SP2 came out and IE 7.0 without any complaints, then whamo! Everything else works. When I now try to load it, the screen comes up but then it tells me that either OE is not installed correctly or I have a memory problem. I have automatic updates turned on and wonder if MS did an update that caused it? If you find out why or if you get it fixed, please come back here and let us know how and why?
