Default Spelling checker

Do you have a Spelling Tab???

Do you see: When checking spelling, always ignore?

And then a check box for: The original text in a Reply or Forward?

I don't have Tools, Options, Spelling, Ignore Original Text (Outlook
Express Version 6.00.

If you intersperse your reply with the original message, it won't get
spell checked unless you remove the check mark in Tools, Options,
Spelling, Ignore Original Text. With that option selected, it will only
spell check text before or after the entire original text. (Note: if you
save a message to the Outbox or Drafts and then open it again, OE has
lost track of what was original text and will spell check the whole
message.)

If you are using OE-QuoteFix, all your text gets treated as if it were
interspersed with the original, so the above applies or you need to
highlight the desired text and do a manual spell check.

The spelling check works OK when posting at the top but doesn't work at
all when posting at the bottom. Any ideas please? (I don't want to get
into the top versus bottom posting arena.)

Thanks

Bill Ridgeway
