Here is my problem. 2 days ago while I was on line we had a power outage in
the area and when the power came back on and the computer restarted I
attempted to get onto OE which loads ok to the inbox screen but it becomes
frozen at that point. I get a not responding and a end task box. any help. I
have been trying to straighten out since then. Need my saved emails and
contacts. Seems like it dropped off some link to complete installation of
OE. I have run several scans and registry checks....

Try deleting folders.dbx. See www.oehelp.com/OETips.aspx#7

I would make a backup also.

If Steve's solution doesn't work, move Inbox.dbx to a new Windows folder
that you create for the purpose, then post back for how to recover messages.
