Hi Bruce - thanks for the help. Problem is that because OE is installed on
the new drive when you navigate to the "old" OE on the (now) slave drive it gives the settings of the new installation not the old ones...does that make sense? I can find OE in the Progs folder on the old drive but the WAB and the location of saved messages are those of the new installation on the new drive. ...the old ones must get overwritten somehow (although I guess they are lurking somewhere) Bruce Hagen wrote: Tools | Options | Maintenance | Store Folder will reveal the location of your Outlook Express files. Press the Tab key to highlight the folder location, then Ctrl+C. Close OE, then Start | Run | Ctrl+V will put the location in the box - Click OK and you'll see the OE files. Otherwise, write the location down and navigate to it in Windows Explorer. In WinXP, Win2K & Win2K3, the OE user files (DBX and WAB) are by default marked as hidden. To view these files in Windows Explorer, you must enable Show Hidden Files and Folders under Start | Control Panel | Folder Options Icon | View, or in Windows Explorer | Tools | Folder Options | View. Hi everyone ! I have just installed XP on a new HD and installed my old HD as a slave. [quoted text clipped - 3 lines] going to kill me....thankyou |
