hi,
i am facing this problem fr a week now...my Gmail account is synchronised
with my outlook, but from last week wenever i open my outlook express the
messages that have been previously doenloaded are being downloaded again...i
dont know wat the problrm exactly is...but ikeep on getting those duplicate
messages...
kindly help.

Check your GMail accounts properties in OE for 'leave messages on
server' (OE/Tools/Accounts/Mail/your gmail account/Advanced)
and also
Logon to Gmail/Settings/Forwarding and Pop/
Item 2 under Pop Download should equal 'Delete Gmail's copy'

thats true..
but i want them to remain in the server...earlier only new msgs used to get
downloaded to my OE...the read msgs never used to get downloaded again even
though they wer on the server.

Pop3uidl.dbx is probably corrupt.

Go to Tools | Options | Maintenance | Store Folder and see where OE is
storing its data. Then go there with Windows Explorer and delete
Pop3uidl.dbx. The messages should download once more while OE builds a new
Pop3uidl.dbx, but no more after that.
