You have to resize the graphics before you insert or attach them. If you do
not have a photo imaging program already, this is a good free download. Download IrfanView at: www.irfanview.com or: http://www.tucows.com/preview/194967.html -- Bruce Hagen MS-MVP Outlook Express Imperial Beach, CA "tim harrison" wrote in message ... any embedded photos to fit (or shrink-to-fit?!?) into the preview window? |

No matter how much you shrink the dimensions of the photo, you can always make the preview window smaller in dimensions than the photo. The preview window can't resize the photo on-the-fly. You could make the photo's dimensions tiny but then who would want to look at it? |

thanks for the replies - i guess i worded the question badly. i was hoping
that OE would resize on-the-fly so's i can view giant pictures that have been sent to me without opening them in some other program. |

Sent to you? That is out of your control. Send the Resize links to your
friends and maybe they'll get the hint. -- Bruce Hagen MS-MVP Outlook Express Imperial Beach, CA "tim harrison" wrote in message ... thanks for the replies - i guess i worded the question badly. i was hoping that OE would resize on-the-fly so's i can view giant pictures that have been sent to me without opening them in some other program. |

OE ignores the image size attributes and displays every pixel.
