Two days ago my emails stopped opening - all I get when I click Reply is the header and the message box is clear like. When I click on email to open this is what I get.
I am running Windows XP - SP2 with I.E.7 - have cleaned out the files, ran the virus scan, scandisk, defragment, shut computer down and unplugged from wall for a while. I haven't had any problems up until two days ago - I even did a System Restore. Anyone got any ideas how to fix??? The mail is receiving just fine - just can't open. Thanks. Billie |

Try this:
Start Run (type in) resgsvr32/ inetcomm.dll [Enter] -- ~Robear Dyer (PA Bear) MS MVP-Windows (IE, OE, Security, Shell/User) AumHa VSOP & Admin http://aumha.net DTS-L http://dts-l.org/ Azh wrote: Two days ago my emails stopped opening - all I get when I click Reply is the header and the message box is clear like. Thanks for the response - I am using the News Surfer as I can't open up the emails in my Outlook Express. I did as you suggested - see attached - I get an error - did you misspell by chance? I did a search for inetcomm.dll file and I do have it in my System 32 file - it is the newer version.
I sure hope someone can come up with the solution to this problem. ![]() |

Typo, sorry.
Start Run (type in) regsvr32/ inetcomm.dll [Enter] To keep track of things, it helps immensely if you include all of previous message(s) in your replies to the newsgroup. What about the slash, Robear?
Go to: StartRunType in, or copy & paste: regsvr32 inetcomm.dll - Press: Enter. See this about possible fixes for messages appearing blank: www.oehelp.com/OETips.aspx#10 If you fix it and the problem reoccurs, download CWShredder and run it after doing the fix again. http://www.intermute.com/products/cwshredder.html -- Bruce Hagen MS-MVP Outlook Express Imperial Beach, CA "PA Bear" wrote in message ... Well I guess I spoke too soon! I booted up this morning and it was back again!
Can I ask you this which version of the inetcomm.dll file should be there - the one used for SP1 or SP2 as I have the newer one in there for SP2. Could that be the problem. Can't tell you how frustrating this for me. Azh |

Do you have SP2? If so, you should have that inetcomm.dll
It looks like something is unregistering inetcomm.dll during the boot process. All I cab think of that might do that is malware. Yes I am running Windows XP - SP2 and have the inetcomm.dll for that version.
This just started two days ago - I have cleaned out files; have run Adware and Spyblaster; scandisk and defragment - have even tried Restore back before it happened - I will check out some of these websites - strange that it should suddenly clear up and then when I turned on computer this morning it works. I am having to use the News Surfer here to write to the newsgroup. My mail is coming in just find and sending when I forward something. Just still get the blank emails and they won't open. |
