I use OE6 to successfully send and receive e-mails to and from all my
contacts APART from those ending in @sky.com. OE6 was working before I went on holiday 3 weeks ago but when I returned and tried to send two friends an e-mail (both have @sky.com addresses) they didn't receive them and I can't receive anything they send and belive it or not I can't even send myself anything!! When I create an e-mail for myself and hit the send button - no problem. The message is sent and a copy is stored in my SENT folder but the message never arrives - HELP!! I have contacted SKY who say it's a problem with OE6? |

If a message you sent goes to Sent Items, then it was received by your ISP
and the problem is from that point on. The only thing that can make OE /think/ the message was sent, when it wasn't is e-mail scanning. Turn off e-mail scanning in your anti-virus program. It is a redundant layer of protection that eats up CPUs, slows down sending and receiving, and causes a multitude of problems such as time-outs, account setting changes and has even been responsible for lose of messages. Your up-to-date A/V program will continue to protect you sufficiently. For more, see: http://www.oehelp.com/OETips.aspx#3 Also, confirm that your account settings are correct. -- Bruce Hagen MS-MVP Outlook Express Imperial Beach, CA "Dixie" wrote in message ... For the messages that you are not receiving (including ones that you
send to yourself), it could be either a Blocked Sender or Message Rule on your part. Look at Tools, Message Rules. It could also be spam filtering at your ISP. If they offer web mail interface check that out. Look in any Trash, Spam, Bulk, etc folder as well as any filtering options. As for messages that you send to others, see Bruce's reply. It could also be filtering on their end. -- Mike - http://pages.prodigy.net/michael_santovec/techhelp.htm "Dixie" wrote in message ...
