In OE 6 (Windows XP, SP2), I recently have begun receiving an occasional
message from one sender that appears to be part of another message that I have already received from another sender, but somewhat garbled. Any ideas? Thanks. |

I just noticed another problem. A message in my inbox was readable the first
time I clicked on it, but then when I went back to it, it was full of code. Thanks for any help. "robin" wrote in message ... OK, thanks. I'll try that.

... Use Message, Combine and Decode... Thanks, but it's grayed out. After you selected the messages you want to apply the command to? ; ) BTW did you try the Help (F1)? There is a separate article about Combine and Decode which you don't even need to search for. Just use the Index. Note: Please do not overtype lines from previous posts. It makes it difficult to identify if a reply has been made. Some newsreaders use color coding to show who wrote what so if you overwrite someone else's line you confound that mechanism too. HTH Robert --- Robert, I thought that Combine and Decode was for combining parts of a large message that are sent in smaller sections. The problem I was having involved discreet messages from different senders that were somehow combining on their own. I think that is why the "Combine and Decode" option remains grayed out even when the messages are selected. At any rate, I haven't had the problem since I deleted my Temporary Internet files, so I'll just have to wait and see if it crops up again. Many thanks for your responses. robin |
