Default Making a slideshow into a screensaver

Could anyone tell me if it's possible to make a slideshow of pics sent
through outlook express, into a slideshow/ screensaver? I've tried saving
the file to My Documents and doing it from there, but it just tells me there
is no pictures there even though I did download them, saved them to my
Desktop and dragged and dropped them to My Documents.

Thanks for any help,
Sanr

I followed the instructions exactly, many times, and keep getting same
message....'no pictures 'xxxx' in Documents/Settings'. I've tried several
ways to get them into Documents, but they don't seem to upload or download,
whatever it should be.When it asks, 'what program to open with' should I
choose Outlook Express, since that's where the original file came from? But
it doesn't seem to work.

Thanks,
Sanr

Where are the pictures now? I created a new folder in My Documents and named
it Screen Saver. Then I opened a folder that contained pictures I had. One
by one, I right clicked in a picture I wanted and dragged it from the folder
it was in to the Screen Saver folder I created and then chose Copy Here.
When I had all the pix I wanted, I right clicked on the Desktop | Properties
and selected My Picture Slideshow from the choices in the drop-down arrow
box.

This does not work for you?

Default Making a slideshow into a screensaver

See, these aren't _still_ pictures that I am sending to a new folder in My
Documents. It is _already a _slideshow, that I am trying to make a into
Screensaver. When I copied what you did here, I got the same message, 'there
are no pictures in My Documents again.' I never got the Copy Here menu. Is
it possible that you can't send a _Slideshow_ to My Documents and make it
show up on Desktop as a Slideshow Screensaver?

Whatever I've done so far has made some impact because the screen goes blank
and black when not actively in use and the sentence 'there are not pictures
in My Documents' keeps moving around the Desktop, like it would have been
the screensaver had it gone right.

Thanks,
Sanr

Ah. I don't know if you can do what you want. I have never seen it done.
Still pictures show, (kinda), like a slide show.

Default Making a slideshow into a screensaver

Using the software that created the slideshow
extract the pictures from the slideshow
save the pictures
create the screensaver
a slideshow is not a picture

or have the person that sent you the slideshow send you actual pictures
