Running Windows xp-home. IE7, CA security Suite
1-Just set it up again after having to reset computer. Was on line with
provider so I know all the ins and outs are correct. Went to sent test mail,
clicked the "Create Mail" button and got an error message "There was an
error
opening this message. An error has occurred." I tryed uninstalling it
through windows components in add and remove with no change.
2- Can not opem emails that have attachments and some without do not show
all information in them.
Does anyone have a suggestion on how to correct this problem without wiping
the
machine? Thanks.

Did you read the articles?

All three of those apply to creating a message as they say in the
articles.

And the first two apply to OE 5, 5.5 and 6, even though the articles may
not mention all of them (the first mentions 5 and 6, the second mentions
5 and 5.5 but also applies to 6).

Yes I did read the articles, the first link seems to be my problem but the
instructions for correcting them were given for windows 95 and 98. I was not
sure if they would work in XP. If they will please let me know. Thank you.

The procedure for running the system file checker is somewhat different
for XP. The procedure is he

Time better spent researching FAQs using the search tool in the web interface
to newsgroups that you are using? eg

Michael frequently provides tips which would answer your second question too.
Hint: search his posts for references to TNEF

OE5 and OE6 were originally supported on those OS. Much detailed
support information from OE5 still applies to OE6, regardless of the
OS it is run on.
