OE doesn't have the capability of doing this. Alt + 1 and Alt + 2 will give
you these: ? ? but that's it. See: http://www.tedmontgomery.com/tutorial/ALTchrc.html Or do a Google for Smileys, but beware that you might download more than a program. Smiley programs are notorious for including bugs if all sorts. -- Bruce Hagen MS-MVP Outlook Express Imperial Beach, CA "Lynn Bartley" wrote in message ... Windows Live Mail has smileys.
:-) generates a smiley. It also has bugs, but then it is beta. I replaced OE on XP with WLM. -- Ronald Sommer "Bruce Hagen" wrote in message ... OE doesn't have the capability of doing this. OE does not come with any emoticons. But there are sources of these on
the Internet. The emoticons are simply image files (GIF) that you can use with Insert, Picture in an HTML format message. http://jabberwoq.com/emoticons.htm http://www.tuyen4ever.org/smiles.php -- Mike - http://pages.prodigy.net/michael_santovec/techhelp.htm "Lynn Bartley" wrote in message ...
