Default Importing Exporting Contacts

Is there an issue with Display name when importing/exporting contacts. I have
contacts in Outlook 2003. I do an export to a CSV file. I then import that
file to Outlook Express 6. It seems that Outlook Express does not take any
contacts when the display name exceeds its default limit. (amount on
characters allowed in the display as bar) - is there any truth to this? Is
there any known fix?

Thanks,
