My OE 6 (WinXp sp2) toolbar keeps widening and pushing several buttons off
screen. I know how to restore by either closing/opening OE or moving the boundary line up then down but I'm getting annoyed with having to do so. I first thought it was a Tweak UI bug so a stopped using the its customizations and reconfigured the toolbar differently thinking that might end the problem. Has anyone else encountered this problem? Thanks much for any advise or fix. Jeff J. |

This is a known bug that does not have a fix for it yet. What you are doing
is almost all you can. You can also choose *No Text Labels* in View Layout Customize Toolbar to have even smaller buttons. Hopefully, there will be a fix soon, but.................??? -- Bruce Hagen MS MVP - Outlook Express ~IB-CA~ "Jeff J" wrote in message ... Thanks guys. Is there going to be an automatic fix for this bug or is there
some website I should visit periodically to check for the fix? Jeff J. "Bruce Hagen" wrote: This is a known bug that does not have a fix for it yet. What you are doing is almost all you can. I imagine it will be thrown in with the rest on the update site if and when
it's tracked down. I had this happening for a while then it stopped, that was with XP Pro... now on W2003 I have not seen it, hard to tell where the real problem is. Oh By the way...
I have no idea if it's anything to do with anything but I have seen some strange problems caused by video card drivers... you would think that would affect every program but most of what I have seen seemed only to affect IE, and since IE and OE share common code maybe you could check for driver updates and stuff. IE can do some pretty neat tricks with video, although it's almost never used. I guess that may be why drivers sometimes show problem with IE rather than simpler stuff. See the examples for some fancy stuff... who knows, you may find some repeatable problem that will give us a clue. http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/de...ters/alpha.asp Charlie "Jeff J" wrote in message ... ... Thanks guys. Is there going to be an automatic fix for this bug or is there some website I should visit periodically to check for the fix? Jeff J. This bug is so hard to reproduce that it may never get fixed in OE6. Windows Mail in Vista is so rewritten that the bug may be gone. I haven't seen it there yet. -- Frank Saunders, MS-MVP OE Please respond in Newsgroup only. Do not send email http://www.fjsmjs.com |

If we could do that I'm sure Microsoft could fix it. -- Frank Saunders, MS-MVP OE Please respond in Newsgroup only.
