My p.c. is well protected,i.e., hardware firewall and all the necessaries.
I am concerned about my O.E. I was given as far as security is concerned. Outlook is more expensive but I don't know if O.E. compromised the security to bring the cost down from Outlook. Is O.E. truly safe as long as the pc is well protected -all the O.E. updates from M.S. are installed. -- Grampy Pete |

Depends on what you mean by secure Someone can't use it to get into or infect your machine any more easily than through Outlook, but the OE password is a joke and will only deep out honest people. It's like locking your front door but leaving all the other doors and windows unlocked. You should be running a good anti-virus with email scanning turned off and also a good anti-spyware. If you use OE don't use Norton or McAfee. -- Frank Saunders MS-MVP IE,OE/WM www.fjsmjs.com Do not send email |
