Crosspost to MSN Discussion newsgroup.

Windows version? IE version? Have you ever been able to access the account
in OE? Are you a Hotmail Plus subscriber?

This is interesting:

C:\Documents and Settings\earleping www.hotmail.com

Pinging www.hotmail.aate.nsatc.net [216.74.180.189] with 32 bytes of data:

Reply from 216.74.180.189: bytes=32 time=109ms TTL=51
etc.
C:\Documents and Settings\earleping hotmail.com

Pinging hotmail.com [64.4.32.7] with 32 bytes of data:

Request timed out.
etc.

Swhois.net says that this address belongs to "hotmail.kz".

Huh? Typing www.hotmail.com in MSN Explorer address bar eventually causes
http://by110w.bay110.mail.live.com to be loaded, but not before going
through g.msn.com. I am using Qwest DSL with MSN for ISP, so I assume that
my DNS server would know how to find hotmail.com. Perhaps Microsoft forgot
to pay their IP registration renewal?

Cheers,

Earle

Tools | Internet Options | Privacy
Add microsoft.com and select Always Allow.
Do the same for hotmail.com
