There probably is a limit, but if there is, it would be much more than you
have. I'm not clear as to "12 of them are in the root of Inbox". Do you mean subfolders of the Inbox, and some of those have another subfolder attached to the original subfolder? Confusing, but not a problem. Click on Local Folders, then File | New | Folder. If that doesn't work, you may have a damaged identity. File | Identity | Add New Identity. Create a new one and test it. If all is well, you can import your messages from the old identity and delete it. -- Bruce Hagen MS MVP - Outlook Express ~IB-CA~ "not me" wrote in message ... Problem solved, I think.
I renamed the folder that the dbx files where in. I then opened OE and imported all of the emails from the old folder to the new ones created by OE when it opened. Next problem... I copy somthing into the clipboard from worn Look at my email the go back to word and hit paste, only I get the email text not what I copied. Any clue? Copy/Paste from Word does not work well since the two programs use different
editors. You would need to save the contents of the clipboard to a file using an appropriate program (Paint for graphics/Notepad for text) and then insert the saved file or attach it to your mail message. -- Jim Pickering, MVP, Outlook Express https://mvp.support.microsoft.com/pr...8-1171988A62D6 Please deliver feedback to the newsgroup, so that others can be helped. General OE Caveats:
- Don't use the default folders Inbox or Sent Items to archive messages. Move them to local folders created for this purpose. - Empty Deleted Items folder daily. - Disable Background Compacting [N/A in SP2] and frequently perform a manual compact of all OE folders while "working offline". More at http://www.insideoe.com/files/maintain.htm. - Do not attempt to close OE via Task Manager or shutdown your machine if Automatic Compacting is taking place (WinXP SP2 only). - Your anti-virus application's email scanning feature can also cause corruption. Disable it. It provides no additional protection. -- ~Robear Dyer (PA Bear) MS MVP-Windows (IE/OE, Shell/User, Security), Aumha.org VSOP, DTS-L.org not me wrote: Ok here is the deal...
