I don't know why it's grayed out, but that's a moot point since the only
language you would have is French with Office 2007. You no longer have spell checking capabilities in some languages in Outlook Express 6.0 after you install the 2007 Microsoft Office system: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/932974 Office 2007 breaks OE's spell check. Downloading a free spell check is the simplest way around this. Vampirefo: http://www.majorgeeks.com/download.php?det=2952 TinySpell: http://www.tinyspell.m6.net/ (Checks the spelling as you type). If you have a previous version of Office, see this: http://www.outlook-tips.net/archives/2006/20061228.htm -- Bruce Hagen MS-MVP Outlook Express Imperial Beach, CA "Steven" wrote in message news:VPMTi.2703$6P3.1702@trndny02... Hi, I have Windows XP installed on my computer & recently installed MS Office Word & Excel. I was told & have read that by doing so the spelling icon in Outlook Express would be active. Unfortunatly it's still grayed out. Any thoughts? Steven |
