I posted this question a few days ago but I don't seem to be able to find it
again so apologies if anyone has tried to answer it befoe. The problem is that when I try to send mail in Outlook Express 6 I get the following message: "The message could not be sent because one of the recipients was rejected by the server. The rejected email address was 'email address'. Protocol: SMTP, Server Response. '553 sorry, that domain isn't in my list of allowed rcpthosts (#5.7.1)', Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No, Server Error, 553, Error Number: 0x800CCC79". This happens no matter what email address I try to send to. I have no idea what this is or what to do. Can someone please help. Regards Eddie |

Many thanks for your reply. I have checked all of the posts you suggested.
However, they might as well have been written in 'Martian' as I did not understand what the "£$%$" they were trying to say. Can anyone PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE explain this problem in SIMPLE ENGLISH. I know that computer problems are by nature complicated but SOMEONE MUST KNOW WHAT TO DO IN THIS CIRCUMSTANCE Regards Eddie "PA Bear" wrote: See these archived threads about the problem (yours is one of them): http://snipurl.com/lg9l -- ~Robear Dyer (PA Bear) MS MVP-Windows (IE/OE, Shell/User, Security), Aumha.org VSOP, DTS-L.org Eddie wrote: I posted this question a few days ago but I don't seem to be able to find it again so apologies if anyone has tried to answer it befoe. You post via an ISP called iberdanda.es so the question is, is the account
you are attempting to send one assigned to you by iberdanda.es and are you connected to that ISP when you attempt to send mail? If not, they your post is refused as it is considered to be a "relaying" attempt. See the info here about relaying errors: http://www.insideoe.com/problems/errors.htm#550relay -- Jim Pickering, MVP, Outlook Express https://mvp.support.microsoft.com/pr...8-1171988A62D6 Please deliver feedback to the newsgroup, so that others can be helped.
