There are 2 people I send messages to that cannot receive my mail. I get a
message back that I have been blocked for "potential spam issues". It
happens even when I just send a message that says simply hi.
I have been able to look at their computer, and I am in both their address
books, and not in blocked senders list.
Maybe their ISP doesn't like my ISP?
I can send the mail to my sister, and she can forward it to them no problem.
They can send me mail, no problem, but even my replies are blocked. Believe
me - I am not sending porn to my dad!
any suggestions?

They are going to have to work this out. It is either an Anti-Spam program
they have, or their ISP has a program that is blocking you. Either way, it
is not an OE issue.

Beth, does that message back come from the recipient's mail server?

Most likely your ISP has had their mail server used by spammers... And the
recipient's ISP has had their mail server block emails from your ISP's
domain. This will be all your ISP's customers, not just you. Your sister has
a different ISP so is not bothered by this.

This is not 100% certain to be the case but it is likely and there is
nothing you or the recipient can do about it if that's what has happened.

You should pass this info on to your ISP in case their mail server is "Open
Relay"... if they do not understand what that means they are too stupid to
be in the ISP business

I'm sorry I don't know really what I am doing. Please if you can, answer the
following question.

If I send an email using Outlook Express, will I know if the recipient who
uses gmail is blocking them?
