I wish to have the reverse situation of what most people seem to want. With
a number of users who log on to a single computer with differnt identities, I wish all users to be able to access all emails received via IE6 so that, for example, user B can read, reply to and delete messages that user A has opened. Is this possible, please, and if so, how? David. |

If you mean multiple OE identities, why not just use the same identity for everyone? -- Frank Saunders, MS-MVP OE Please respond in Newsgroup only. Do not send email http://www.fjsmjs.com |

I meant multiple Windows users, but I hope (although I have not had time to test it yet) that Ron's response gives me the answer? Thank you, both. David. |

I posted a similar question. You might also have a look at the following
which is also in this forum. It might be easier and more comfortable than editing the registry. http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/e...6-153ba772629b Good luck. Sorry, the link wasn't correct. Here is a copy of the reply:
"In your OE go to Tools | Options | Maintenance | Store Folder and write down where OE is storing its data. Close OE. Open Windows Explorer. If you are using Win2K, WinXP or Win2K3 click Tools | Folder Options | View and set it to Show hidden files and folders. Go to your store folder and copy all of the DBX files to an empty Windows folder. Make sure you include Folders.dbx. Close Windows Explorer and start the other OS. Go to Tools | Options | Maintenance | Store Folder and write down the path to the data, Click Change IMPORTANT WARNING: For the next two steps decline any offer to move the files or folders or messages. Enter the other store folder path and click Okay. Close OE. Reopen it and answer 'No' to an offer to move things. Go back to the first OE and Choose File | Import | Messages and import from the other store directory. -- Frank Saunders, MS-MVP OE Please respond in Newsgroup only. I tried Frank's recipe, but got into trouble.
I moved the 'admin' message store to a new folder called "C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook Express", and OE still works as usual. I then logged in as a different XP user (called 'User', with no admin privileges), ran OE, and changed the the message store to the new folder. Now, however, OE won't run: "Outlook Express could not be started. The application was unable to open the Outlook Express message store." How do I fix this if I can't even get into OE?
