Is there a switch I need to toggle on so I receive a message in the lower
right hand corner of my monitor showing a new email has arrived into OE? This
feature was enabled on an older computer.

TIA for any help,

Susan

Right click next to the clock | Properties | Customize. Find the New mail
Notification icon and change the behavior to Always Show.

Thank you, Bruce. I do see an icon showing new mail. I was looking for the
little notify that pops-up the sender's name... from whom the email was sent.
Any ideas for this kind of alert?

Google for it. You need a third party program for that.

That "toast" pop-up is usually associated with MSN/Windows Live Messenger
(installed and running) when a new Hotmail message hits your Inbox. It has
nothing to do with OE.

Makes total sense. I used to have MSN Messenger installed. Thanks much,
everyone!
