Is there a switch I need to toggle on so I receive a message in the lower
right hand corner of my monitor showing a new email has arrived into OE? This feature was enabled on an older computer. TIA for any help, Susan |

Right click next to the clock | Properties | Customize. Find the New mail
Notification icon and change the behavior to Always Show. -- Bruce Hagen MS-MVP Outlook Express Imperial Beach, CA "SWSellers" wrote in message ... Thank you, Bruce. I do see an icon showing new mail. I was looking for the
little notify that pops-up the sender's name... from whom the email was sent. Any ideas for this kind of alert? Sue "Bruce Hagen" wrote: Right click next to the clock | Properties | Customize. Google for it. You need a third party program for that.

That "toast" pop-up is usually associated with MSN/Windows Live Messenger
(installed and running) when a new Hotmail message hits your Inbox. It has nothing to do with OE. -- ~Robear Dyer (PA Bear) MS MVP-Windows (IE, OE, Security, Shell/User) AumHa VSOP & Admin http://aumha.net DTS-L http://dts-l.org/ SWSellers wrote: Thank you, Bruce. Makes total sense. I used to have MSN Messenger installed. Thanks much,
everyone! "PA Bear" wrote: That "toast" pop-up is usually associated with MSN/Windows Live Messenger (installed and running) when a new Hotmail message hits your Inbox.
