Attachments are an integral part of the message. Depending on your
operating system, some of the temp files used for rendering images, etc.,
are not visible. You don't mention the operating system you are using.

Where are the newsreader graphics temp files stored? I know where they
are in MS Outlook but cant find them in the Outlook Express. When I read
a NG message with binary attachments they take a while to load but then
when I go back to that message they load very fast, indicating that they
binarp graphic files are being stored somewhere on my computer. I am
assuming that they stay on the system in a temp file but maybe not, and
maybe they are dumped after exiting. (I know that MS Outlook does not do
a dump unless it is done manually)

I found that the NG subscriptions are inthe identites folder under local
settings, Would have thought hat there would have been a temp folder undr
that but not so.

Any help would be appreciated.

Default Temp Files

You may have to first visit Control Panel/Folder Options and on the View
tab, enable "show hidden files." Then in Internet Explorer, click
Tools/Options and on the General tab under Settings button, click and then
click the View Files button to see the cookies and graphic files stored
therein. Unless you know the specific name of the file, it may be hard to
find but since they are an integral part of the message itself, you can
always view them by opening the message and any attachments it may have.
That would seem to be the easiest method.
