Default Spell check is French.

I just installed MS Office Home and Student 2007 and the default language
for spell check is English(UK), however the default spell check for Outlook
Express 6 is French(France) with no other options in the drop down box.

Any fixes?

Phil

Default Spell check is French.

Courtesy of MVP Steve Cochran:

The spell checking is broken for OE with Office 2007. You have to install
the proofing tools for an older version of Office to get it working again.

Steve:

If we have never had prior Office products, can they be downloaded free? I
just bought Office Home and Student 2007. Upon installing it I obtained IE-7
and sure enough only French.

You can't download the Microsoft spell checker (Proofing tools), but
there are other free spell checkers that you can.. See the URL in my
