Default Access to emails

I have recently upgraded to XP and broadband and I can no longer access my
emails as it is asking me for a password for my identity that I haven't had
to enter for nearly 8 years and can't remember!!

I have tried to set up a new identity but have no idea what to enter in
regard to the server details and have tried to find the information but to
no avail.

Hope you can help

Okay, first you don't want your real email address appearing in news groups
else spammers will pick it up and them you won't want most of your emails

Second mail.tesco.net seems to be a valid server so you can try that in the
server text boxes.

If it's the password Tesco gave you that's lost you will have to ask them to
reset it... usually ISPs can only reset to some random value that's
automatically mailed to you, this prevents the tech support person from
seeing it.

(I am assuming Tesco... if that is not the name of the new ISP or if they
gave you a different email address your old one may not work anyway)

Often mail server tames are mail.something.net but if you are going to have
to call the ISP you may as well ask for all details.
