I have verizon.net as my default account and want to add yahoo.com. I'm
getting an error "can't find incoming.yahoo.com".

Is the Yahoo account free or paid for? If you have a acct, and you don't want to pay the annual subscription fee. You can use a program called !YPOPS (formerly known as !YahooPops), to get your messages. You will need to change your server settings in OE for your yahoo acct(s), so make sure that you read the instructions before installing.
