I had a problem earlier with OE 6.0 the address book not loading. I
performed a system restore, I am able to access the address book but the addresses do not display. I have renamed the .wab and attempted to imported an earlier address book, but I continue to receive an error that 'An error occurred during the import process. The import process could not be completed.' Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks. |

Do an Advanced search & include Hidden Files and Folders and search for:
*.wab You will probably find a few. Choose the one you want and write down the path and find it in Windows Explorer. Open the Address Book in the new identity and File | Import | Address Book (wab) and point to where it is located. Do not try to import from the main OE window. You must open the AB and import from there. -- Bruce Hagen MS-MVP Outlook Express Imperial Beach, CA "DeeW" wrote in message news ![]() I had a problem earlier with OE 6.0 the address book not loading. Bruce,
Thank you for your reply. I seem to stil be having a problem. I'm not familiar with identities in OE. There is only one and that's the main identity. Do I need to create a new one? Also, I was able to import the address book, but not with the names listed in groups. I can see them when I open the .wab, but they are not importing that way. Any additional help would be appreciated. "Bruce Hagen" wrote: Do an Advanced search & include Hidden Files and Folders and search for: *.wab You will probably find a few. You didn't mention Groups before. Groups do not export, or import.

I'm sorry for this miscommunication. Is there a way associate the .wab with
OE 6.0 without importing? I tried to keep from recreating the groups. Thanks again for you help. "Bruce Hagen" wrote: You didn't mention Groups before. Bruce,
I was able to resolve the problem. The WAB file location in regedit was incorrect. When I changed it, the addressees and groups appeared. Thanks again for your help.
