Hi Bob,

Mail and News are different Internet protocols/accounts. There is a
possibility the mail server is down or some change has been implemented. If
the mail is through your ISP check their support page for announcements.
Also, try reading your mail temporarily using the browser if they offer
Web-based access to e-mail.

Hi Bob,

Is "the other email account" in Outlook the same one you're having problems
with in OE?

You might go to...

OE Tools, Accounts, Mail Mail Account Properties, Server tab

....and re-enter the user name and password.

Are any 3rd-party anti-virus or spam message scan apps in use?

Hi Bob,

You could try setting-up the problem account in Outlook to see if the same
problem is still present. If it doesn't work I don't see an issue with OE.
If it does work re-enter all settings in OE (for the problem account) or
remove the account and add it back.
