My wife's computer stopped sending her emails with this rejection message:
The message could not be sent because the server rejected the sender's e-mail address. The sender's e-mail address was '------'. Subject "ben", Account:'mail.comcast,net',Server:'smtp.comcast.ne t',Protocol:SMTP,Server Response:'5505.1.0 Authentication required',Port:25,Secure(SSL):No,Server Error:550,Error Number 0X800CCC78. What do I do to get her working again? and Error Number 0X800CCC78. She uses OE 6 and everything worked fine until today. |

authentication checked? It appears from posts here that Comcast is continually making changes and apparently not informing the user. Not necessarily the answer, but some more information.
