This is one of the *Known Issues* mentioned at the OETool download site. For
me it will happen for a period of time and then the problem will disappear.

KNOWN ISSUES

This was a rather tricky program to write, also, and there are some known
things that users of version 1 will have to accomodate:
1. The Options popup screen may flicker on and off when clicking on one of
the plain text toggle buttons. In some cases it has been reported that a
message box pops open (used for diagnostic purposes) instead of this button
working completely. It is suggest in such cases the user click the cancel
button on the Options form and then try pressing the button again. If the
messagebox continues to show, one can try ending the program and then
restarting it to see if that fixes the problem. This issue is being
investigated.

Hi Bob,

Yeah, I could remove that, but it helps figure out where the error is
occuring.

Normally the buttons work, so if they are having troubles, check you system
resources. If they are full, then there seems to be an increased number of
times it fails.

This is not the garden variety program. Its unmanaged code taken to a new
level. VBG

Thanks. I read those issues quickly when downloading but I didn't
quite catch that. (As a programmer this seems like a simple fix, ie,
just remove the hack code that pops up the debug window... but who am
I to complain :-)
