Play sound whe new message arrive doesn't work
I have Outlook Express 6 and my options are set to "Play sound when new
messages arrive." Unfortunately, when new messages arrive there is no sound! My sound scheme is Windows Default and under Program events New Mail Notification is selected. I would appreciate any help to fix this problem. Thank you in advance, -- Don Ivanov

What about in: Control Panel | Sounds and Audio Devices | Sounds | New Mail

In Control Panel, Sounds, New Mail Notification, If the sound doesn't
seem to play, you may need to select a different sound, then change it back to the desired one. Verify that Preview works on the selected sound as well. Also note that the sound is played after OE downloads messages from a POP3 mail server.
