Default Editing Information In Archived Messages in .dbx Files

I would be interested to learn if there is a method or programme that can
safely edit information in archived OE6 messages (eg inbox.dbx) without the
danger of damaging the OE store. For example, a friend sent me a message that
is erroneously dated by the server as 06/11/2020 and always appears as the
latest message so I want to change the date to correct it. Also, sometimes I
want to change the subject of a message received so the key words will be
more obvious in case I want to search for the message in the future.

Your advice would be apreciated.

Kind Regards
Chris

Save the email to hard drive, open with NotePad, edit as desired and save.

Double click to open saved email, on File menu choose Copy to Folder.
