Hi Tim,

Thanks a lot for this quick response!! I edited the registry as instruced
and it worked! FYI, this is the dialogue box:

Send Mail
When you send an e-mail message it will be placed in your "Outbox" folder
ready to be sent the next time you choose the 'Send and Receive' command.

I know it's no big deal but it's just someting I was used to. Very much
appreciated.

Paul.

Hi Paul,

I don't know the prompt that's now absent. You might look under Send in
Options again for a changed setting. If it was a dialogue box that was told
not to show again check for it using the Registry editor.

paste
For OE5 dialogs that you have disabled, open Regedit and navigate to this
key:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Identities\{GUID}\Software\Micro soft\Outlook
Express\5.0\Dont Show Dialogs

...where {GUID} is the globally unique identifier for your OE Identity.

In the right-hand pane you will see all the dialogues that you have turned
off by clicking "don't show this again". Change the value to 0 (zero) to
re-enable a particular dialog.

Up unitl a couple of days ago, I used to receive a prompt after I hit the
send button (I don't remember what it was for!) but now the message closes
directly and goes into the Outbox. Just because I so used to receiving that
prompt, I'd like to get it back. I've been to all of the tabs in the Options
menu and looked arond the Inside Outlook Express website and couldn't find
anything related. Is there a way to get that prompt back? Thanks very much
for any help! Paul.
