Default Outlook Express Backup

While slightly off topic I will appreciate some assistance.

I use the excellent Outlook Express Backup (OEQB) that seems to work
perfectly except when I open the program I get the message 'Cannot read from
source file or disk'. When I cancel the message the program appears to
function normally, that is creates the backup.

I have reinstalled the program but the message persists.

Does anyone have a solution or explanation as to why I receive the message?

Copy the files to your Hard Driveremove read only attribute from all .dbx
files and import.

Thanks for your response but the *.dbx files do not have the read only
atribute checked.

mac's answer is not appropriate for this issue. I get the same error
message when I run it. I just click okay and then it starts backing up.

There's something at the very beginning just before the files get backed up
that's triggering the error.

I thought not Steve, that is why I corrected myself immediately after I
re-read the original post :-)

Problem was solved. There was an additional Identity (Genie Backup) that was
causing it.

Okay, I have 2 Identities. Does that mean it only backs up one? Should I
delete one of them to make it work?

Cherokee wants to know.
