I have an officeworker that uses outlook with an exchange server for company
business. He also uses outlook express, for his own business, on the same pc. This goes through a pop 3 server. Is there a way to migrate outlook express in to outlook and keep the contacts and mail separate? If so, how would this be accomplished? Thanks! |

You might import the OE data into a never-been-used PST file.
But best post your question to this OL General newsgroup: news://msnews.microsoft.com/microsof...utlook.general -- ~Robear Dyer (PA Bear) MS MVP-Windows (IE/OE, Shell/User, Security), Aumha.org VSOP, DTS-L.org Speez wrote: I have an officeworker that uses outlook with an exchange server for company business. Outlook works fine with pop3, it is after all a proper (sic) email client
where Outlook Express is a general purpose (and free) tools for basic mail. I think you might consider setting up two users under windows XP for the future to avoid any possible conflicts, so for one lot of work you sign in as one user and for the other work sign in as another. This would make Outlook set up simpler (I think) and maybe reduce human errors. (I'm assuming you are using at least XP... different users under 98 and ME was a bit of a mess ![]() First find the "outlook" groups as your need is more specific to that software and also consider having your friend sign up using outlook express (Which is still the newsreader if you use outlook) to make newsgroup access easier. www.charlietame.org has some info that may help with the latter Good luck, I use OE at home but Outlook at work and if you are currently managing to use both on the same machine that's also an option I guess.
