Default Cannot send emails

Yes, problem now resolved.

Outgoing MUST be configured to your current ISP that you make the connection
with.

For outgoing -
You can use both the Tiscali and Lineone email addresses, but the server
should be configured for Pipex, and you'll have to use the User name and
password for your Pipex account to connect.

For incoming you can use the Tiscali and Lineone servers.

Hi Bruce,

I have made some enquiries and there appears to have been no change in
policy with Pipex and they do not block other ISPs mail.

Further investigation as follows.

If I change the outgoing server to Pipex for the Tiscali & Lineone
accounts it will not accept the Lineone and Tiscali user names and
passwords. I have never had to change these user names and passwords
and they have been in place for many years and for the past two years
with Pipex. My outgoing smtp severs must have been lineone & tiscali
but now I am getting the error message 0x800CCC0B.

Any suggestions?

Axel

What is happening is that you are trying to send Tiscali & Lineone
mail through Pipex, and they do not allow this. It could very well
be a recent change of policy by Pipex. The best way to check that is
to give them a call. ISPs do make changes like this from time to
time. --

Yes,

I have three accounts.

(also my ISP)

I have been using all of these accounts and the same ISP for about
two years
with no problems, but something recently changed. For some reason
my default email programme changed to Outlook. I changed it back
to Outlook Express and then the problems.

The problem is only with the outgoing emails from the lineone and
tiscali accounts, and probably with the smpt server address. Should
this be pipex
or tiscali/lineone?

Two possibilities. Do you have multiple accounts? You are sending
from pipex.com and trying to go through tiscali. This is a generic
Relay Not Allowed message. See:
http://www.insideoe.com/problems/errors.htm#relay550

Also check your accounts settings and make sure they haven't been
changed to either Localhost, or 127.0.0.1.

Out of the blue I now cannot send emails and get the following
message: The message could not be sent because one of the recipients
was
rejected by the server. The rejected e-mail address was
'. Subject 'Troubleshooting - Easydrive &
Motorola V545', Account: 'pop.tiscali.co.uk', Server:
'smtp.dsl.pipex.com', Protocol: SMTP, Server Response: '554
: Relay access denied', Port: 25,
Secure(SSL): No, Server Error: 554, Error Number: 0x800CCC79

Can anyone help?

Axel
