When I click Insert l Picture, a window called "Picture" opens with questions
I cannot answer. What is a path? Is that a URL? What is alternate text? It also wants layout & spacing. When I clicked Browse, the picture I had put on the Desktop did not come up. Only a very small perecentage of the items on the Desktop were available to choose from. This is all quite confusing to me. Also, as Bruce indicated, if I want to send images from another e-mail, then I first have to save those images to the hard disk and then insert them back into the e-mail. I have always been able to just forward e-mail and the images would be forwarded along with it. What happened to this system & why did it change? "Steve Cochran" wrote: Try very simple. As Bruce indicated, if you want to send images from another email, then you first have to save those images to the hard disk and then you can insert them into the email. Thank you, but now I have another problem: I do not know how to access my pictures that are located in a saved e-mail. And, the pictures I have in My Documents I cannot access because when I Insert l Picture, I do not get a full listking of my documents to choose from. When I try to get a picture from My Pictures, I only end up with a bunch of small boxes. And finally, I don't need Insert l File Attachment because I know that the image will work there. Are you ready to give up on me yet? Thanx --Kira "Bruce Hagen" wrote: You can't copy/paste a picture. You *WILL* get a red X that way. I did check my Sent folder, but found nothing to indicate a size. I went to CTRL-F3, but I don't know how to tell if it shows whether or not the image is there. I could not actually see it - where it should have been there was a long line of "=20". When I forwarded the image as an attachment, it did include it. I am unable to send myself a message with an image brecause I cannot get the image to copy & paste into the message. I get the same box with the red "X" in it. Am I just not computer literate enough for you to help me? I know I am very limited. Thanks Steve, --Kira "Steve Cochran" wrote: Check the size of the message in the sent items folder and see if its the correct size to include the image. The picture source (path) is the location of the picture.
A URL is a path to something on the Internet. The something can be a picture. You can enter a URL to a picture in the picture source box, but you can't use Browse to enter the URL. You don't need to put anything in alternate text or layout and spacing. -- Ron Sommer "Kira" wrote in message ... For forwarding messages with pictures, use Message | Forward as attachment.
It doesn't work sometimes due to incompatibilities between OE and other messaging programs. For the insert | Picture, see the OE Help file | Index and pictures, inserting. I would also suggest you get some basic computer training so you understand more what you are doing on the computer. steve "Kira" wrote in message ...
