news ![]() I have just put together a Dell system. I want to use Outlook Express. I have installed Microsoft Office, but do not want to use Outlook as a mial client. Every time I start the computer up, it tells me that there is no default mail client and to run Outlook and to make it the default client. I wish outlook to be the default, but when I go into the tools menu to tell Outlook Express to be the defaul it is greyed out and I am not able to set it as default. Can anybody help as I do not wish to keep being asked this question. Thank you all. S START | All Programs | Set Programs Access and Defaults. Expand Custom and select Outlook Express as the default email client. Also, you might look in Control Panel | Internet Options then click on the Programs tab and select Outlook Express as the default. Then there is also START | Run type in "C:\Program Files\Outlook Express\msimn.exe" /reg (include the quotes) and press ENTER |
