... Using IE6 on my PC - just acquired a laptop - can anyone tell me what file I need from my PC to import my "favourites" across to the laptop and where on the laptop it needs to go ? Similarly can I transfer (I assume) cookies so that automatic logins are carried across ? I cannot see what version of IE is on the laptop but presumably any will be comptible. Thnaks. Rock Method 1 = copy c:\windows\favorites\*.* to a disc and put it into the other PC. Method 2 = connect both PCs via ethernet cable, if both have ethernet jacks, and copy directly. Method 3 = export favorites to a single file, email it to yourself from the source PC, receive the email on the other PC and import the favorites. -- Don Phillipson Carlsbad Springs (Ottawa, Canada) |
